Miniature 1:12 scale Paper Maps...

Another Paper Minis free printable. Maps. I just printed them, cut them out, and then I decided to roll them up. You could glue them to a wall, or frame them too.

Miniature Paper Italian Food Restaurant Menu...

I signed up for Paper Minis free email newsletter, and in the newsletter was a link to a bunch of freebie printables. You really cannot read them very well because the quality isn't very good, but they are still cute. I printed them on three different kinds of paper with my laser printer to see if it made a difference, but the resolution of the images are just not very good. I used regular copy paper 96 bright 20 lb. I also used bright white laser paper 98 bright 28 lb. Lastly, I used a very nice gloss finish color laser paper 96 bright 32 lb. I cannot even tell which is which. Can you? :) I still plan to make most of them. They look cute sitting in the dollhouse, and I cannot complain, they were free!!

Miniature Raggedy Ann and Andy Book...

I bought a downloadable printable Raggady Ann and Andy Book on Etsy. It turned out cute for my first try. I learned a few things along the way... like keep a baby wipe handy to wipe glue from my hands and don't try to glue the ends at the same time as the rest of the pages, but you live and learn. It is really beat up in these photos because my 2 year old loves it so much. She has been flipping through the pages non-stop.

Miniature Brownie with Banana Slices

First of all, this was my first time caning. My bananas are horrible! I could find my needle tool, so I had a hard time texturing the brownie. I also put way to much glaze on top. Okay, now that I have used every excuse that I can think of... here is my brownie...

Magazine Review: DollsHouse and Miniature Scene

Follow this link to purchase DollsHouse and Miniature Scene Magazine (I recommend downloading the app and just purchasing through that).
I do not receive any commission for you following this link, I am just trying to be helpful. ;)

As of right now this is my favorite magazine by far!! It feels really high quality, the projects are amazing, and it zooms easily in the app. One of my favorite features is the long-running projects. Each month they build on the last months projects. There are always some ending and some beginning so that you can jump in whatever month you start. You can buy past magazines, unfortunately you have to pay for each one separately. I would love to get a physical copy of the current and past magazines. Let me know if you have some to sell me. ;)

Magazine Review: Dollhouse Miniatures

Follow this link to purchase Dollhouse Miniatures Magazine Subscription
I do not receive any commission for you following this link, I am just trying to be helpful. ;)

What I like:
Dollhouse Miniatures is the first magazine for miniatures that I came across, so I was very excited to get it. They have a digital monthly subscription for $4.99 that allows you access to the current magazine as well as past magazines. You can look at all of them without paying extra. They have a wide variety of projects. They have a handy app.

What I didn't like:
The image quality could be better. I have to zoom in order to read it. The zoom feature is annoying and does not allow you to navigate. You have to back out and re-zoom each time you want to read somewhere else. I really cannot tell you exactly why, but the quality seems cheap. The articles, the images, the projects are okay (a few are good) but nothing super exciting.

I am obsessed with miniatures enough that I will continue the subscription for now, but I doubt I will buy the physical subscription. If you plan on using the app to view, I would just download it and purchase the subscription directly through that. It is a huge pain to sync them if you buy it online.

Just getting started...

I have always had an interest in dollhouses. Recently I have been watching you tube videos with my kids and learning how to make our own furniture and food. We are all pretty excited about it.

I bought a few basic supplies, mostly polymer clay. Now I just need to find the time to try making something. I did make a cinnamon roll after following the Realistic Polymer Clay Cinnamon Roll tutorial from Sugar Charm Shop. Unfortunately, the photo is blurry...

My husband surprised me with this dollhouse. I am excited to get working on it. It is a fixer upper, which is exactly what I was looking for.
